Asch the Bloody serves as a God General for the Order of Lorelei, though he's best known for operating behind the scenes—often working toward the same goals as Luke and his crew, just rarely with them. He's stubborn about it too, usually outright refusing to cooperate, and things got tense enough that he and Luke actually fought over who got to battle Van at the game's end.
On the surface, he comes across as smart and calculating, with a temper that seems permanently on simmer. There's serious pride there, and he genuinely cares about his country and the people in his life. But if you spend enough time around him, you'll catch moments of pure goofiness that completely contradict that serious exterior. Case in point: when he had to pretend to be Luke once, someone who'd met Luke days earlier asked why his hair had suddenly grown out so much. His answer? "My hair grows fast." Fans still laugh about how hard he committed to that terrible excuse.
Away from all the God General duties, Asch is actually an extremely talented cook—probably not what you'd expect from someone who radiates constant irritation.
