He's a military operative sent by the Grania Republic to back up Shakirov. The catch? To crash at Yukari's place, he literally had to become a dog—she wasn't letting any more strangers through her door.
He holds the rank of corporal and has a bit of a masochistic streak. Yukari ended up naming him "Pochi," which is your standard dog name in Japan. The name stuck.
