Kaori's main storyline centers on Shiori's arc, though she pops up regularly throughout the series since she's Nayuki's best friend and in Yuuichi's class. As class rep, she's got the smarts and knows basically everyone in town—the students, the locals, all of it. Despite being pretty much plugged into everything happening around her, she remains completely oblivious to all the supernatural stuff going on. It's one of those running contrasts: she's in the know about normal life but totally in the dark about the weird.
