Mitoto Kuramitsu is relentlessly upbeat, working as a sanitation engineer (basically a cleaning lady) for the Galaxy Police. She's the daughter of Minami and mother to Mihoshi and Misao—and she's best known for her habit of showing up everywhere with a mop, from battle cruisers to pirate ships, just cleaning like it's no big deal.
She first met Seina Yamada when he arrived at the G.P. Academy and became oddly obsessed with his hair, constantly petting it whenever she's around. Over the years she'd pop into his life at random moments to lend a hand, like when she supervised Seiryo Tennan doing toilet duty as punishment for messing with Seina's body enhancements.
Mitoto's got a lot in common with her daughter Mihoshi—the same bizarre luck, the same cheerful cluelessness. Fans often note her uncanny ability to turn up in the most unexpected places, which led to a running joke that she basically knows everyone in the galaxy just from cleaning their spaces. She's even been inside General Daluma's supposedly secret fortress and casually remarked on how clean the floors were.
Beyond her appearances throughout the GXP series, she showed up in the final episode of Tenchi Muyo's third OVA to give her blessing to Misao's engagement to Mashisu Makibi and personally convinced the Kuramitsu family council to approve the wedding.
