Yuki Machida is the protagonist, aged 17 (at the beginning of the story). She has 3 triplet brothers a year younger than her, as well as 2 twin sisters.
Because of her situation as an older sister, she convinced herself at a young age that it was her duty to act maturely and ensure that she prioritized their happiness, even at the expense of her own feelings. Thus, she is extremely serious, hardworking and stern, and displays a very stoic facade.
She became the manager of the Ryuhoku's basketball club to support Kido, the team captain, whom she admires and had a secret crush on. She ends up, unintentionally, catching the attention of Shou Naruse, and falling in love with him, against her hopes, even if she refuses to admit it to herself at the beginning of the story.
Shou's immaturity and persistence, as well as her love for him, cause her to have occasional emotional outbursts, bringing down her stoic facade, and allowing her true feelings to surface.
