A supporting character from the game Girls Princess who was introduced to Nozaki by Mikoshiba. Tomoda's whole deal is being there for the protagonist—literally sacrificing his own youth to help the guy out.
Because Tomoda basically gave up his youth for the game's protagonist, Nozaki and Mikoshiba felt pretty guilty about it. They decided the best way to make it up to him was to write a manga that would actually make him happy. It's kind of sweet, honestly—they went out of their way to create something just for him.
