A tree-dwelling youkai who made a habit of jump-scaring Natsume whenever he'd pass by on his way to or from elementary school. She found the whole thing hilarious—Natsume, less so. He found her pranks genuinely annoying, though she never seemed to tire of them.
She's a loner by nature and doesn't think much of humans in general, dismissing them as rude, selfish, and needlessly complicated. Most people who walk past her tree have no idea she exists since they can't see her, which hasn't stopped her from trying to frighten them anyway. Mess with the tree itself, though, and she'll chase you off without hesitation.
One of her quirks is the ability to transform into a black and white cat—one of the few forms humans can actually perceive, unlike her youkai self. She uses this shape to interact with the human world on her own terms.
