Yukimura is a guy defined by duty. He's got this unflinching courage that shows up even when he's vastly outnumbered or stuck between loyalty to his lord and sympathy for enemies who happen to be family. He's fiercely devoted to whoever he serves, staying humble in their presence—he calls Shingen "great lord" and genuinely means it. For him, a warrior's true measure only reveals itself on the battlefield, nowhere else.
The flip side is that he cares so much about his lord's welfare that he struggles with guilt whenever things go south militarily. Self-doubt eats at him. He's also the type who can't really switch off, which people around him sometimes see as a personal weakness. But none of that stops him from being rock-solid loyal to his friends—if they're in trouble, he's there without question.
