Bud is Lisa's twin brother and considers himself a pretty great sorcerer—even if he's still got a lot to learn. He got kicked out of the Academy of Magic for being too much of a troublemaker, but he hasn't let that stop him. His trusty magic frying-pan actually belonged to his mother originally.
He's on a mission to meet all of the Wisdoms to expand his knowledge, though things got pretty discouraging when he ran into Gaeus. That particular Wisdom told him flat-out that he won't become a "great sorcerer" for another 73 years. Most people would probably spiral after hearing that, but Bud just. stayed excited about it. He remains genuinely enthusiastic about what the future holds, even with that impossibly long timeline hanging over his head.
