Nene-chan's mom is pretty much a walking contradiction—totally normal one moment, then absolutely unhinged the next. She absolutely can't stand Shin-chan, and when he gets under her skin (which is often), she has this deeply weird coping mechanism: she beats the living daylights out of a massive stuffed rabbit in private. The problem is, her psyche is clearly fragile enough that people regularly witness these episodes anyway, and everyone who does—including poor Nene-chan and the traumatized rabbit itself—ends up with sweat pouring down their faces, genuinely terrified. Shin-chan's the only one unbothered by it, naturally.
When she's not in rage mode, she's indistinguishable from any other mom. But that rabbit abuse thing? That's generational. She picked it up from her own mother, and wouldn't you know it, she's already passing the tradition down to Nene-chan. It's the kind of family quirk that's played for laughs but also kind of horrifying when you think about it.
