Gon is a carnivorous giganotosaur with an oddly T-rex-like head—more tyrannosaurid in appearance than what you'd typically expect from his actual species. Despite the classification, he's actually an omnivore with an appetite to match his size. He's genuinely strong for a dinosaur, capable of supporting his own weight on his jaws alone and lifting a full-grown African elephant partially off the ground. His scaly hide is nearly bulletproof, thick enough to withstand bites from much larger predators.
Intelligence-wise, Gon's a wildcard. Sometimes he's completely oblivious—he once didn't notice a bird nest sitting on his head for weeks. Other times he's surprisingly clever, like when he used a lion as a pack animal to help him hunt. It's hard to pin down what's going on in his head from one adventure to the next.
Outside Japan, Gon's best known for his stint in the PlayStation version of Tekken 3, where he gained some wild perks: fireproof skin, the ability to breathe fireballs, and toxic flatulence. He's also appeared in games on SNES and Nintendo 3DS.
