Duanmu Xi is the eighteen-year-old head of his clan, which has built a reputation over generations for producing elite Yangmingsi exorcists. He's had the traits of one since birth, and took over leadership when he was only eight.
He's naturally gifted with immense spiritual power and carries himself with an almost unsettling calm. Growing up isolated at the top of his family's hierarchy, he found Yang Jinghua genuinely unusual—probably the only person who's ever treated him like a regular person rather than a prodigy or figurehead. Since meeting him, Duanmu Xi has actually started reconnecting with more human qualities he'd lost or maybe never had the chance to develop.
