He works as the weapons system operator up on the bridge, though he's just as likely to be barking tactical calls at whoever's piloting as he is managing the actual weapons—the guy's got strong opinions about how things should run. He's got this intense, no-nonsense personality that could come across as cold, but he knows his stuff well enough that people actually respect it rather than resent it.
