Baikinman
Baikinman is Anpanman's arch-rival and the primary antagonist of the series. He rules over Germ World and commands an army of viruses, embodying the dark counterpart to Anpanman's heroic nature. The two were literally born at the same moment, making them living symbols of good versus evil.
His goals range wildly depending on his mood. Sometimes he's plotting to destroy Anpanman and remake the entire planet into a second Germ World. Other times he's content just causing chaos—stealing, bullying weaker characters, and pulling pranks. He's not always that ambitious, honestly. What really defines him is his creativity. Rather than relying on brute force, Baikinman constantly engineers elaborate contraptions and devises complicated schemes to outmaneuver his opponent.
Despite his menacing reputation, he has a glaring vulnerability: soap absolutely wrecks him, shrinking him down to the size of a fly. It's a pretty decisive weakness for someone who represents filth and disease.
Baikinman's character design and role as a persistent, scheming villain inspired the creation of Team Rocket in Pokémon, making him influential beyond his own franchise.
