Alex has been obsessed with major league baseball since watching a game with his parents as a kid. He picked up work as a paperboy at twelve, though the pay was pretty disappointing. His real shot came when he joined the Annex Project—partly to be closer to Sheila, but also to secure his American citizenship. He's a right-handed thrower and bats left.
The M.O. Operation gave him the abilities of a Harpy Eagle, which fundamentally changed what he could do. He can fly now, and his vision is eight times sharper than a normal human's. His upper-body strength is insane, especially in his grip—he can throw objects with enough force to hit like a bullet, and his eyesight lets him calculate shots from distances most people wouldn't even attempt. Basically, he can strike from angles and ranges his opponents won't see coming.
Outside of baseball, he's got an oddly specific talent for spotting photoshopped images on DVD covers and similar media. He really can't stand dog owners who don't train their pets, or the untrained dogs themselves.
