Matabei is Yukimura's devoted bodyguard and closest friend—the kind of person who'd help her sneak into the Yagyu dojo without hesitation. She's fully committed to Yukimura's goal of restoring the Toyotomi clan to power, though her clumsy nature often works against her. Seriously though, she takes her job as protector incredibly seriously, which is pretty much her defining trait despite her tendency to stumble through life like she's got mittens on.
When she's not on duty, Matabei loves two things: food and baths. She's genuinely skilled in the kitchen and could spend hours relaxing in hot water if given the chance. It's these simple pleasures that balance out her otherwise no-nonsense attitude.
