Toudou's in the same year as Misaki and attends the same university, where he's majoring in law and active in the kendo club. He and Misaki hit it off immediately—turns out they're both huge fans of Ijuuin-sensei's manga The Kan, which gives them an instant connection. Misaki befriends him early on in the series.
