Akashi was a ghoul living in Tokyo's 1st ward who worked as a taxi driver—a pretty perfect cover, honestly, since the job let him move around the city without drawing too much attention. Not much else is publicly known about him beyond that, and he seems to have kept a deliberately low profile compared to some of the more notorious ghouls.
