As a person, Otoha's pretty much the definition of timid—she's easily frightened and quick to apologize, especially when she thinks Bell's about to scold her. But there's more to her than just nervousness. When things get genuinely scary or the situation demands it, she can flip a switch and show some real backbone.
One of her more unusual traits is that she can actually sense music as a scent—something most people would find pretty odd, but it's just part of who she is.
