Valon serves as one of Dartz's top lieutenants, part of the trio that carries out his plans. He's got decent chemistry with Rafael, but things are noticeably tense between him and Amelda—the few times they actually talk, they end up bickering. He's the one who brought Mai into Dartz's fold initially.
Throughout the series, Valon repeatedly saves Mai's life, and it's pretty clear he's developed genuine feelings for her—he drops hints about it more than once. His interest in her seems like one of his more human qualities, setting him apart from the cold efficiency expected of Dartz's enforcers.
In the English version, he speaks with a Cockney accent, which gives him a distinct voice among the group.
