Kon first appears in the Ancient Ruins alongside Slon, where the two attempt to take down Pankraz. They get steamrolled—until Ladja shows up and blackmails the desperate father by threatening his son's life. That's when things turn ugly, and Pankraz gets brutalized by the pair.
Years pass. By the time we see Kon again, he's orchestrated the kidnapping of The Hero's wife, working with Chancellor Jeeves of Gotha. He holes up at Knightmare Towers, confident things will go according to plan. They don't. The fully grown Hero fights through the tower's defenses, takes out Jeeves, and comes face-to-face with Kon.
This is where Kon's real advantage comes in: he's got a shield that makes him nearly untouchable. In the early stages of their fight, The Hero can barely land a scratch. Kon's cocky about it too, which is understandable when you're basically invincible. But his confidence becomes his downfall. In a pivotal moment, The Hero's wife unleashes a burst of light that shatters the shield entirely, leaving Kon exposed and vulnerable for the first time.
