Wings Alexander runs the Hoothoot Express, a courier service and airport based in Transit Town on Red Rock Isle. He's best known for his appearance in "Throwing in the Noctowl," where he ferries Ash and his friends across treacherous skies.
Wings is a former Trainer with serious ambitions—he used to dream of becoming a Pokémon Master, and his Noctowl was his battle partner back then. These days, that same Noctowl works as his co-pilot, and their bond clearly runs deep. He's got a nostalgic, daydreaming personality that sometimes gets in the way when things get hectic, though he knows how to pull through when it counts.
When Ash's group first showed up at the docks in Transit Town looking for a ferry to Olivine City, Wings spotted an opportunity. Posing as a fisherman, he steered them toward his airport instead. The kids ended up helping him care for his Pokémon collection before boarding his vintage plane—and Wings repaid them with free passage.
The flight itself turned dramatic when a massive thunderstorm tore into them mid-journey. The old plane started falling apart, but Ash, Misty, Brock, and their Pokémon stepped up to help keep it together, with Noctowl doing its part too. They made it to Olivine City intact. Wings even went out of his way to help Team Rocket when their balloon got caught in the same storm, showing he's got a generous streak regardless of who needs the help.
