Akemaru is a ninken from the Inuzuka clan in Konohagakure. The dog made its anime debut in Boruto Episode #93 and appeared in the light novel Naruto Shinden: Parent and Child Day.
The character's design is clearly inspired by Akamaru—both share the Great Pyrenees look—but Akemaru stands out with its distinctive red coat. Interestingly, this coloring mirrors how Akamaru appears after consuming soldier pills, which fans have noted is probably no coincidence given the two dogs' connection to the clan.
