Jersey Man
A predator who targeted Mazaki Anzu by blackmailing her over a part-time job. The English dub softened this to a simple mugging scenario, with the character redesigned as a basic street criminal rather than a sexual threat.
The jersey man snapped a photo of Anzu working at Burger World and used it against her, since holding down a job violated school policy. He slipped the photo into her locker with a note demanding she meet him in the gym storage room. Anzu figured either Jonouchi or Yugi had left it—they knew about her job—so she went to confront them. Instead, the jersey man showed up with a camera, filming her and threatening to expose everything to the school unless she obeyed him.
(The English version changed this entirely: the note claimed Yugi and Joey found her a dance studio space, and the photo became ballet shoes. When Tea arrived at an empty warehouse, she quickly realized something was off. The predatory filming was cut entirely.)
When Yugi tried to intervene, the jersey man threw him into gym equipment hard enough to knock him out cold. Anzu managed to bite the guy, but he shoved her away unconscious too. That's when Yugi's other personality took over.
Dark Yugi challenged the jersey man to a card game with stakes: whoever lost would face the World of Darkness. The guy didn't take it seriously, drew "Curse of the Dragon," and lost to Dark Yugi's "Black Magician." He laughed it off and went for a punch—but Dark Yugi hit him with a Mind Crush Penalty Game, leaving him frozen in place. Dark Yugi told him to spend his life repenting in a nightmare.
Later, during Duelist Kingdom, Anzu brought up the incident to Yugi, noting how it felt like he'd turned into someone else. Yugi had no memory of it—just woke up to find the guy unconscious. He admitted to Anzu that he sometimes feels like he transforms, but she told him not to worry about it.
