Margo works as a caretaker for Nanara, the prince of Redaku. She started out as a general maid in the royal palace, doing whatever needed doing for the royal family and their guests until the Prime Minister assigned her to serve Jiji, a shinobi from Sunagakure who was staying there temporarily. Jiji ended up falling for her and decided staying in Redaku beat returning to the village or continuing his ninja career.
After the Prime Minister's defeat, Kakashi writes to Sasuke Uchiha about the battle's outcome and mentions that Margo helped secure the victory. The letter also notes she'll be heading back to the capital with Nanara, now King of Redaku. When Sasuke shows the letter to Jiji, it's the first confirmation that Margo survived and is doing well.
A year later, Margo and Nanara visit the Astronomy Research Institute with Jiji—who's also become one of Nanara's aides—as their guide. Nanara wants to restore the Institute and possibly make it bigger than it was before its destruction. He asks Margo what she thinks his sister Manari would make of the plan. She figures Manari would gripe about the expenses but ultimately wouldn't stand in his way. Pleased with that answer, Nanara has Jiji show them around the surrounding area.
