Nie Mingjue was the head of the Qinghe Nie Sect before his younger half-brother Nie Huaisang took over. People knew him by his title, Chifeng-zun.
He's remembered as an intensely serious person—strict, hot-tempered, and completely uncompromising about morality. Jin Guangyao once noted that Nie Mingjue had zero interest in the usual pleasures: no women, no art, no drinking. Basically, the guy lived and breathed his saber work and hunting down members of the Qishan Wen Clan. Everything else was irrelevant to him.
