Himari is a striking young woman with a curvaceous build and back-length dark sea-green hair styled in a bow, long bangs swept to the right. Her amber eyes and overall appearance have become noticeably more mature lately—something Yuuki has definitely picked up on. She typically wears the Anti-Demon Corps uniform: a navy blue short-sleeved top, red belt, and thigh-high boots.
When Yuuki first met her, Himari came across as cold and dismissive. She didn't trust him, saw him as beneath her and the 7th Unit, and made it clear he should feel lucky just to be around. She has serious pride in her own abilities and especially in the 7th Unit—Kyouka Uzen in particular inspires her. That pride means she gets angry fast, especially if anyone questions her strength or work ethic.
Her childhood was rough, which drove her to become the kind of person who trains constantly and never cuts corners. She's usually grinding away alongside Kyouka, perfecting her combat skills and her Peach Blessing ability. She doesn't tolerate laziness or insubordination in others either. Still, Himari has a short fuse herself and tends to be reckless, which has earned her a reputation as one of the 7th Unit's misfits.
She's easily embarrassed or angered when her abilities get questioned—especially by her older sister Yachiho, who she resents for being naturally stronger. What Himari really wants is to become a Hero like Yuuki, but more specifically, she wants to be like Kyouka and finally outdo her sisters, who spent their whole lives overshadowing her.
As the youngest of the Azuma family under Fubuki Azuma, Himari grew up constantly compared to her accomplished older sisters. She was the family's disappointment, the one who had to study and train obsessively just to keep up—sometimes to the point of making herself sick. Yachiho in particular seemed to enjoy reminding her of that gap, teasing her relentlessly.
When Himari ate a peach from Mato and gained her own power, it felt like a breakthrough. But she quickly discovered her ability had real limitations. She eventually joined the Anti-Demon Corps' 7th Unit, a squad full of other people who didn't fit the mold, and worked her way up to Vice Chief. Kyouka became her inspiration and role model.
