Ryouta Satou died from overwork back in Japan—literally worked himself to death. Instead of moving on, he got a second shot at life in a fantasy world where everything comes from monsters. The catch? He woke up with an insanely high Drop Rate (S-rank, the best there is), meaning monsters shower him with loot constantly.
He's genuinely kind-hearted about it all, too. His whole goal is to help other people avoid burning out the way he did. That near-death experience changed his perspective completely, and now he's focused on making sure nobody else ends up in that situation. It's pretty much the driving force behind everything he does in this new world.
