Majic serves as Orphen's apprentice and the story's second male lead. He and Cleao know each other, though they're not particularly close—partly because she's three years his senior and spent a chunk of her childhood away at boarding school. On their quest to save Azalie, both Cleao and Orphen give him a hard time, though he takes it in stride.
His father hired Orphen to train him, initially seeming like money down the drain. That changed fast. When Orphen casually repaired a fallen glass using magic right in front of the guy, the father's skepticism evaporated. It turned out Majic was a natural student, and Orphen clearly believed in his potential—something that boosted Majic's confidence and, by extension, his actual magical ability. He looks up to Orphen considerably and calls him "master" at his request.
