Chitoge is the female lead of Nisekoi and the daughter of the Bee Hive Gangsters' boss. She's stuck in a fake relationship with Raku Ichijou to prevent a gang war, though she eventually develops real feelings for him.
Half-Japanese and bilingual, Chitoge grew up in America and speaks both English and Japanese fluently. She's intelligent and genuinely athletic—she can vault over school walls and swim 25 meters in seconds. Her cooking, though, is a disaster; she never measures anything and just throws in random ingredients she thinks will help. It doesn't.
Her aggressive nature means she's quick to snap at people, especially Raku when he calls her a gorilla. But once you get past that prickly exterior, she's surprisingly talkative and friendly. Growing up as the daughter of a gangster made it hard to form connections—other kids were intimidated by her family, and her bodyguard Claude didn't help by being overprotective. This isolation left her cold and distant when the series starts. She actually tried to work around it by filling notebooks with intel on her classmates, basically studying them to figure out how to make friends.
