Mao works as the deputy supervisor of Building 2 at Nanba Prison. He's got this whole cat thing going on—his appearance and mannerisms just remind people of a cat, from the way he moves to how he talks.
He first shows up at a supervisor meeting subbing in for the guy normally in charge of Building 8. Not long after, he starts needling Samon Gokuu, hinting that Samon might be a traitor just like his brother Enki was.
