Suginami Ikaruga is a first-year student who's basically a genius with anything mechanical—weapons maintenance, building gadgets from scratch, you name it. She's also handy with hacking. She and Takeru go way back to middle school, where they became close friends.
Before high school, she got scouted by a special division called Regin, which is pretty impressive considering her skill level. She turned them down though, wanting to experience a normal school life instead of getting pulled into some elite program. When she enrolled at the academy, she ended up assigned to the 35th Test Platoon alongside Takeru.
