A top pilot for the private military company S.M.S. and commanding officer of Skull Squadron, Ozma's got serious credentials—he's a former N.U.N.S. pilot with actual combat experience to back up his skills. He's best known for his laid-back attitude that masks genuine competence; he knows exactly when to drop the casual act and get serious, and he's built his command philosophy around looking after his people and civilians rather than just following orders.
Off-duty, he's a devoted Fire Bomber fan, constantly playing their music and even naming one of Skull Squadron's battle formations ("Planet Dance") after one of their songs. He's got a distinctive taste—fans often note his custom Lancia Delta Integrale, painted to match his VF-25's color scheme.
Ozma is deeply protective of his adoptive sister Ranka Lee, a trait that weighs on him heavily.
