Daniel Law is an HLPD lieutenant who's basically worked out an arrangement with Libra: he looks the other way on their shadier operations, and in return they cooperate when weird stuff goes down around the city. It's a practical setup that keeps both sides reasonably happy.
He's got a younger brother, Marcus Law, who also works for the police department. The two are on the force together, though Daniel's the one with the higher rank and the connections to Libra's underground network.
