Dr. Eggman is Sonic's arch-nemesis and the primary antagonist throughout most of the series. With an IQ of 300, he's genuinely brilliant—though fans often joke that his genius seems wasted on increasingly elaborate schemes to take over the world. His core plan is always the same: destroy and reshape parts of Earth to build his own super-city, then use that as a base for global domination. Sonic and crew have stopped him every single time.
Rather than get his hands dirty, Eggman builds an army of robots to do the heavy lifting. His signature move is powering these machines with small animals trapped inside, which adds an extra layer of villainy. His tech is genuinely impressive: the Egg Carrier (basically a flying fortress), the Death Egg (a full space station), his personal Egg Mobile, and Metal Sonic, his mechanical Sonic clone.
