She's best known for her snobbish aristocratic attitude, treating most people with visible disdain and boredom. She hates her vampire urges and generally acts like she's above everyone around her. What makes Rachel fascinating is that she and her butler Valkenhayn are apparently the only two who remember the time loop that's been repeating for a century. In the original game, she spent most of her time secretly nudging other characters to break the cycle, frustrated by her role as a mere observer unable to directly intervene. By design, she plays with people to push them toward actually changing things. Her power comes through sorcery—she can command lightning and wind with ease. She also has access to the Tsukuyomi Unit, a Sankishin weapon with what she calls an "absolute defense," manifesting as a golden shield. Fans often note that despite her constant denial, Rachel clearly cares deeply for Ragna, drawn to his stubborn determination to keep fighting no matter what. Her loyal servants, Nago and Gii, stick by her despite regular punishment. Valkenhayn, her butler, was actually a devoted friend and respected rival to her late father Clavis, and his loyalty runs just as deep. Rachel's cold exterior masks someone who actually does care for her allies, even if she'd rather die than admit it.
