Ichiryū
The current President of IGO, Ichiryū cuts an unmistakable figure—an elderly man with dark skin, white hair, and a distinctive long white mustache. Despite his age, he shows no real signs of slowing down, though he's known for taking frequent vacations at his private island resort.
Before stepping into his administrative role, Ichiryū was himself a legendary Bishoku-ya. He trained under Acacia, the most famous Gourmet Hunter of all, alongside just two others: Jirō and the man who would eventually lead the Bishoku-kai. That pedigree shows. Even now, he's remarkably powerful—capable of defeating Toriko without breaking a sweat and pulling off feats that seem physically impossible, like running across water.
He's got quirky habits that catch people off guard: he'll eat cork straight from a bottle of liquor, and he has this running thing where he names dishes after the ones Toriko hunts. More significantly, he personally trained all four of the Four Heavenly Kings from childhood, making him a foundational figure in shaping the generation's most talented hunters.
