A rare young white Ceratopsian Digimon that showed up relatively recently. Gammamon's evolution is supposedly tied to some kind of digital signal originating from outside our galaxy.
It's got two hard horns sprouting from its head that work as both offensive and defensive weapons. Despite its small size, it can levitate and pull off short flights thanks to tiny wings on its back. Gammamon doesn't wear its emotions on its sleeve, but it gradually bonds with people who make the effort to connect with it.
The Digimon came to Hiro through his father Hokuto. It's naturally curious and has this annoying habit of biting everything it encounters. That said, it's not completely uncontrollable—it actually listens to Hiro and his friends pretty well despite the mischief. Chocolate is basically its weakness; the thing is obsessed and genuinely considers it "the best."
Evolution-wise, Gammamon's got options. Its standard path goes BetelGammamon or KausGammamon or WezenGammamon at Champion level, then branches to either Canoweissmon or Siriusmon depending on the route. Since Gammamon's technically virus-type, it can also go Gulus Gammamon (Champion), Regulusmon (Ultimate), or Arcturusmon (Mega). When Siriusmon and Arcturusmon sync up perfectly, they can merge into Proximamon at Mega level.
Gammamon and Hiro make a quick appearance in Digimon Dreamers, just passing through a scene with Ritsu, Pulsemon, Bokomon, and Patamon.
