A former soldier from the Black Brigade, one of Airyglyph's three military factions. He never actually held an official rank or title, but his commanding presence and character earned him the informal nickname "Father" among his unit—a name his comrades stuck with out of genuine respect and trust.
What's probably most telling about him is his discipline. Even when he's off duty, he maintains a strict routine of 1,000 sword swings. That kind of dedication, whether it speaks to obsession or genuine devotion to his craft, is pretty hard to ignore.
