Magnus Black is a masked villain in Bakugan Battle Planet who works for AAAnimus Inc. and serves as The Awesome Ones' primary rival. He's best known for piloting the powerful Darkus Nillious, along with Fangzor and Webam, making him arguably the strongest battler in the series—at least until Dan shows up.
Despite his corporate ties, Magnus actually adheres to a strict samurai bushido code, though he's clearly lost sight of what it really means. He keeps his identity hidden and couldn't care less about fame or recognition; he's purely focused on battling. That changes when he crosses paths with Dan Kouzo. Something about Dan's special connection with his Bakugan immediately rubs Magnus the wrong way, triggering instant jealousy. Rather than let it consume him, Magnus channels that rivalry into pure drive, obsessively training to become unbeatable so he can finally take down Dan and achieve his real goal: saving his sister.
