Seth is a horned orphan from the Infected people who was raised by his adoptive mother Alma. He's driven by a single obsession: fighting the Nemesis. That drive often gets him in over his head—his recklessness is pretty much his defining trait early on. Everything changes when he discovers Radiant, the being behind all those Nemesis monsters he's been itching to take down. It's the revelation he needed, and suddenly his whole purpose crystallizes.
To get himself in position to actually face Radiant, Seth enrolls at the Artemis Institute. It's basically his way of gaining the skills and connections he needs to make his dream of defeating Radiant a reality.
