Sumireko Sanshokuin—better known by her nickname Pansy—is one of the main characters in Oresuki. She's a second-year high school student who works as a library helper.
At first glance, Pansy seems like your typical gloomy bookworm: long black hair in braids, thick glasses, and a sharp tongue she reserves almost exclusively for Joro. But that's purely the surface. Underneath that deliberately plain exterior is a strikingly beautiful girl, and fans often note her physical assets don't match her modest appearance.

She sees a lot of Hose in Joro and actively tries to prevent him from going down that same path, showing him affection while forcing him to face his inferiority complex and other shortcomings.
