Ivy's got one of those skills everyone's born with in her world—except hers is taming, and it comes with a catch. She's "starless," which is basically the lowest rank possible, and in her society that makes her bad luck. Her family bailed on her because of it, and her village wasn't exactly welcoming either.
The twist is that Ivy's actually a reincarnation from another world. Sometimes her past-life memories surface and try to help her out, but honestly? They're not much use in her current situation. She's mostly just trying to survive despite being written off as cursed from the start.
