Koyuki Hikawa is a high school student who's basically trapped in her own head most of the time. She's the type to overthink a casual conversation for hours afterward, and her default mode is keeping people at arm's length—partly because she's convinced they'll disappoint her, partly because she's convinced she'll disappoint them. Past relationship baggage definitely doesn't help.
What makes her interesting is that she wants to change. She's aware of how isolated she's made herself, and there's this underlying desire to actually connect with people on a real level instead of putting on walls.
