Profile
Nobody knows who Lappland really is. Her background is a complete blank—attempts to trace her to any of the notorious Siracusan families went nowhere, and the investigation was eventually dropped due to how risky digging into that world turned out to be. What we do know is that she's a special ops Operator for Rhodes Island and she's terrifyingly good at what she does. Tactical assaults, search-and-destroy missions—she excels at destruction.
Medical Status
She's infected. Imaging showed unusual dark spots in her organs and abnormally high Originium particles in her blood. Her Cell-Originium Assimilation sits at 13% with massive crystal formation, and her Blood Originium-Crystal Density is 0.27 u/L. She needs strict monitoring.
Who She Actually Is
Here's where it gets weird. People can't quite figure out if Lappland is legitimately unstable or just messing with everyone's heads. In day-to-day life she's polite, even personable—she actively seeks people out for conversation and loves dark humor. But everyone agrees she's fundamentally dangerous. Even when she's being nice, she's frightening.
Her Oripathy symptoms are severe and unusual. Rather than just destroying her body, the infection seems to feed some kind of obsessive fixation on certain targets, which has led to excessive violence. She's marked for close medical observation.
In Combat
Lappland's a nightmare in a fight. Her Oripathy symptoms actually enhance her combat abilities—rare for infected—and she wields a custom eastern-style sword alongside untrained Originium Arts powered purely by raw talent. Sure, her powers burn out fast, but her deceptive fighting style and raw offensive explosiveness make up for it. The real problem is her ability to read weakness. She can watch an opponent for a few moments, figure out exactly what makes them tick, and counter everything they throw at her. It doesn't matter if they've got Originium powers or special abilities—she'll neutralize the advantage.
On Rhodes Island operations, though, she does whatever she wants. Command has some control over her during deployment, but it's limited, and her unpredictability has been a genuine problem for coordinated teamwork.
Personal Relationships
She has a complicated thing with Texas from Penguin Logistics. Texas actively avoids her, but when they're forced to work together, Lappland doesn't antagonize her—and she seems to actually enjoy the chase. The rest of Penguin Logistics' staff are uncomfortable around her, though she treats them fine enough. Most other Rhodes Island Operators are okay with her as long as they stay out of her way.
The weird part: every Lupo Operator on staff has a noticeably guarded reaction to Projekt Red. Lappland's reaction is the most intense—an almost uncontrollable mix of dread, animosity, and inexplicable euphoria. They're kept separated.
The Real Deal
According to classified sources, Lappland's a lone wolf in the Lupo sense—ostracized, broken, someone who's lost her family and will never belong to another one. Madness doesn't heal. Whatever's kept her alive this far, nobody needs to know. You can try to mend her wounds, but understand what you're dealing with: if you keep her around, eventually you'll face a choice. And the warning is blunt—you might not be ready to fight her when that moment comes.
