Nebby is a Cosmog owned by Lillie and one of the most central characters across Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon. Like all Cosmog, Nebby has a childlike personality—curious, carefree, and largely oblivious to the world. It tends to ignore commands and wander off on its own, especially drawn to Alola's ancient ruins and Guardian deities. Despite this mischievous streak, Nebby is genuinely trusting toward people it bonds with, particularly Lillie. When sensing danger, it can use its psychic powers to push objects away or teleport to safety.
In the Pokémon Sun and Moon animated series, Nebby becomes Ash's Cosmog and his fifty-second Pokémon overall, though it remains primarily under Lillie's care. The character appears in the Pokémon Evolutions episode "The Eclipse," shown in a flashback as a young Cosmog being attacked by a flock of Spearow on Mahalo Trail. Nebby also shows up alongside Lillie and Selene in the GOTCHA! music video.
