Yinjiao and Jinjiao
Yinjiao and his brother Jinjiao are immortal beings who got themselves banished from the Heavens after causing some kind of incident up there. As punishment, they were transformed into rodent-like creatures—think somewhere between hamsters, chinchillas, and mice—and sent down to Earth to deal with the consequences of whatever they did.
The two brothers remain connected despite their fall from grace, though their time as these small, furry beings on Earth tends to define how they're remembered in most stories featuring them.
