Town Council
The Town Council members are elderly residents who run Diglett Village and serve as its local government. They founded the town themselves and remain deeply invested in keeping it running.
The council called in help from Team Rocket, Ash, and his companions when a band of Diglett thieves started raiding the village. Since the town relies on Diglett for farming, losing them was a serious threat. What nobody realized at first was that the "thieves" were actually the council members' own kids, who'd moved to a bigger city nearby and were using intimidation to pressure their parents into leaving the village.
With Team Rocket and Ash's group teaching them how to fight back, the council members gained the confidence to defend themselves. Grateful for the assist, they gave Ash and friends a Silver Wing Badge and pointed them toward Silver Rock Isle.
The Town Council comes across as a spirited bunch who take pride in staying active and self-sufficient. They value hard work and their independence so much that they flat-out refused to relocate to a retirement home, even one built specifically for them. Staying in Diglett Village and keeping the farm going matters more to them than taking it easy.
