Dewey Percy recently joined the Mana and Magic Research section, though he's probably not what you'd expect from a new hire. He's got that classic tsundere thing going on—prickly and difficult on the surface, but genuinely thoughtful and kind once you get past the walls he puts up.
Growing up alone shaped a lot of who he is. He didn't realize it at the time, but he was basically lonely most of his life. The big thing about Dewey is his refusal to depend on anyone else; he'll stubbornly turn down help even when he clearly needs it. It's definitely a work in progress.
There's something endearing about him though. Katarina has pointed out that when he greets people or follows Maria around, he actually looks like an adorable puppy—which is pretty hilarious considering how gruff he tries to act. That gap between his prickly exterior and his actual nature is probably the most interesting thing about him.
