Haru is the carefree younger daughter of math professor Kaihou Kagurano. She's basically obsessed with Tapioca World and its mascot Tapio-kun—like, seriously obsessed to the point where her grades are tanking. Her dad got worried enough to hire a private tutor, Yukimura, to whip her into shape so she could actually get into a decent university.
Growing up as the "less smart" daughter probably didn't help her confidence. She's constantly being compared to her accomplished older sister, and with their father's high expectations hanging over her head, Haru's internalized the idea that she's just not bright. She (and pretty much everyone else) calls herself stupid pretty openly.
Personality-wise, she's your stereotypical gyaru—casual, chatty, no filter. She calls Yukimura "Yukipii" and has this genuine empathy thing going on that actually works in her favor academically, even if she doesn't realize it. The thing is, despite her whole "dumb girl" reputation, she's actually capable of learning. Yukimura figures out that a lot of her struggles come from her environment and expectations rather than any real inability on her part. She just needs the right approach.
